Policies & Useful Information
Tritones Registration Policy
Although you may join our classes at any time, please register
early as class sizes are limited.
Registering at least three weeks before the semester begins also
ensures that your 'At Home' materials will be available for collection
at your first class.
If you enrol after the semester begins, tuition can be pro-rated
accordingly.
Your completed, signed enrolment form, accompanied by the materials/holding
deposit, reserves your place in a particular class. You will
receive confirmation of enrolment by telephone, email or mail.
If, in the event the class you have chosen is full, we will
call you to discuss other alternatives.
The remaining tuition fee is due at the beginning of the semester
in lesson 1. Alternatively, if you choose a payment plan, instalments
are due in weeks 1 and 4.
Our preferred method of payment is online (internet transfer).
We then send a receipt via email.
If this is not convenient, we can also receive cash or cheque/money
order in the studio (please place in an envelope with your/child's
name and your enrolment form).
- Twin, Triplet and Second Child Discounts
Tritones gives discounts for twins and triplets and children
from the same family in the SAME class. Please contact us for
more details.
Sibling packs are available at a reduced rate.
Tritones also gives a family discount where members of the same
family are attending different Tritones classes. Contact us
for more details.
- Cancellation
Credit towards future classes may be given if there are extenuating
circumstances requiring withdrawal from class.
All refund requests will be considered on an individual basis.
Home materials are not able to be refunded once received.
- Choosing a Curriculum (Program)
The age recommendations for the Kindermusik programs have been
carefully chosen to best group children in an age and developmentally
appropriate way. Therefore, it is important that your child
be at least the minimum age by the
start of the program in which you are enrolling.
Please note that these ages are guidelines and if you have any
concerns or questions please contact us for further discussion.
Information and Class Policies
Making the Most of Kindermusik Classes
Plan to arrive about 5 – 10 minutes early for class. Arriving
a little before class provides time for your child to settle
in to the musical environment as they prepare to enjoy exploring
instruments, reading books, or listening to music.
We do request that toys, drinks and dummies be kept out of sight,
and that snacks be finished prior to class.
Be sure to dress comfortably and remove shoes before sitting
down to join the class.
During the class, the most important thing you can do for your
child is to be an active and patient role model. It is not uncommon
for a child to attend several classes before feeling comfortable
in class. Don’t be discouraged – what a child is absorbing in
class is often evidenced in the home environment rather than
in a certain level of participation in class.
The understanding and consistency of the parent or care-giver
in class and at home are key to facilitating musical learning
and growth.
You and your child will benifit enormously from the Kindermusik
experience, especially if you make active use of your 'At Home'
Materials. Frequent reinforcement at home through the week makes
all the difference in a child’s comfort and participation in
the classroom.
Illnesses & Make–up (Catch-up) Classes
Classes will be made up in the event of teacher illness - either
Kristen or 'Mr Geoff' will notify you of cancellation and the
scheduled make up date.
If you or your child are sick, please consider others
and stay home. We are happy to allow students
who miss a class to make up that class. Simply call in advance
to schedule another time.
Public Holidays
Tritones runs classes on some Public
Holidays, so please check the Term Dates
page on this website.
Occasional Additional Children
The casual rate for visiting children is $15. Please contact
us before bringing additional children to class.
Grandparents and Visiting Others
Grandparents, Mums, Dads, etc. that don't usually attend class
are welcome to come into the classroom at any time. We welcome
adult family members into the classroom as it both enhances
and helps to spread the joy & benefit of Kindermusik classes.
