About Tritones

A big part of what we do comes from understanding the six learning domains, keys to brain development, musical experience and really caring about each and every child and family in our classes.

Recognised for exceptional service by Kindermusik International's 'Maestro' award, Tritones music classes is a family business devoted to running quality developmental music classes.

Tritones now runs classes 6 days a week at Prospect.
Saturday morning classes have been proving a great option for parents working full-time, especially Dads.

'Mr Geoff' runs many of the classses, with Geoff's wife, Kristen, (sometimes referred to as 'Mrs Geoff'!) also very involved behind the scenes, attending to enquiries, marketing and numerous other support functions. (Behind every good man....)

Deborah Johnson also teaches for Tritones, running our Blackwood classes on Tuesdays and Prospect classes on Saturdays.

'Mrs Shannon' runs our Friday classes at Aberfoyle Park.

'Janet' (Ready) is our teacher at Prospect on Wednesdays.

About 'Mr Geoff' (Driver)

Music has always been a big part of Geoff's life. Whether singing, playing, arranging, conducting, teaching, recording or producing, Geoff's motivation, enthusiasm & energy for music have always been exceptional.

Following various roles within the state public service, Geoff took an opportunity in 2001 to put music at the centre of his working life, establishing 'Tritones', an Adelaide business which teaches music classes for young children.

"I've been singing basically all of my life - in musicals, choirs, vocal groups and our band, both live and in recording studios, and I love impacting positively on development, particularly with young children, so this is a work from my heart", he says.

"When our own son was born, we wanted to give him the best start we could, so we chose Kindermusik®, and are absolutely thrilled with what it has fostered and continues to bring out in him - musically, with language & concepts, singing, pitch recognition, imagination, socially & emotionally and in us together as we relate as a family."

"This is what I want to give to other families through my teaching."

"A good start in music is a good start in life. It's not only musical development, it's the development of the whole child and improving learning capacity.
Both my experience and the extensive research shows that it really works."

"Please talk to me if you're interested in your child's development. I would love to help" he says.

About 'Mrs Shannon' (Ready)

Shannon has long had a passion for music and for teaching young children.

She grew up surrounded by music and some of her earliest memories were singing with her family. She learned piano from the age of 7, then began harp when she was 12, achieving her Associate Diploma in Pedal Harp in 1998.

She graduated from the Elder Conservatorium in Adelaide in 1997, during which time she completed her Kodaly Certificates (in Primary Music Education). Shannon has tutored with the Australian Girls' Choir, taught piano and has played harp at numerous weddings.

Completing her Bachelor of Education at Tabor, (graduating 'dux' of the College) in 1999, she then worked for 6 years at Sunrise Christian School (Junior Primary Teacher, Music Teacher and Choir Director), before becoming the mother of two beautiful girls (Kaitlin & Mianna) and a gorgeous son (Justin).

Shannon is a warm, gentle and enthusiastic teacher who loves to watch each child experience the joy and wonder of music, laying the foundations for learning in all areas of development. Parents often comment on her caring manner and sense of fun that captivates the children and adults in her classes.

"The look of wonder on my daughter's faces as they experience the magic of music is the best gift I could ever give them. I want others to have the same opportunity."
